Sudur
A downloadable game
Suður (pronounced Sud) is a student project and my 2nd ever solo game heavily inspired by Journey and Rime.
This is the first level of Suður, being The Ringing Isle. In this early prototype, you will explore the world to finally make your way up through Gjallarhorn Tower to uncover the Ringing Isle.
The game is fairly bare bones and is a proof of concept with future iterations to come soon.
Future iterations of the game will include:
- Breathing Mechanics - making the player breath in and out whilst running. Failure to do so will cause the player to reduce speed and possibly fail platforming sections.
- World Building and Story - Elements of silent storytelling will be added to the world and left for the player to find and interpret.
- Original Music - Written and recorded by myself future capturing the mood and feeling of the moments of the level.

GPU Centric build - If you run a potato, for the moment don't worry about playing Sudur until a lower spec build has been made. This is to come.

Hey Sean, excellent work here! There's something really striking and stoic about this world, and I'm excited to play more of it. I'll keep an eye out for a less GPU-intensive build in the future, I really want to get further into this but it's hard to make some of those jumps when it's really chugging haha. Cheers!
